Every clinic day we have people arriving at 5:30 to 6am in the morning to get a place in line. We have from 10 to 25 arrive most days. More come and leave. It is a lot of work!! My assistant and I work from 8:am to 3:pm and later to do what we can. The good part is that everyone hears the Word of God while they wait
Thanks to a donation we have been able to install 2 of the 10 tanks we want to place in back of the clinic. The tanks collect FREE water which will be pumped to a small tank near the road for people in the community to get their drinking, washing water when needed. We need more tanks,$450.00 each, a small but big enough pump to pump up the water, the pipe and a small tank placed on a short pedestal near the road.
The security of the house and the clinic after a big attempt to remove the ministry equipment is complete.
We found it necessary to put bars on all the windows after professional thieves drugged us in our beds, drugged the dogs and entered the house through a window 6" behind my head, organized all our belongings in piles in front of a door in preparation to remove everything of value. I woke up at 54:30 am and found this but no thieves? My doctor bag was on the ground at the base of a window. What scared then away so fast? I have to think that an Anger of the Lord appeared because they left in a great hurry!
A SPECIAL STORY TRUE ? THEY SAY IT IS
I recently had visitor at the mission. The last names have been omitted to protect them from ? THE KILLER WASP!!
I hear many stories from visitors but this is worth publishing. This is their story.
"We were walking on the road last night about 10PM when we saw something strange? We saw a BIG wasp dragging a Tarantella down the road. We were a bit amazed and a little scared to see this. A wasp-- had killed a giant tarantella --and was carrying it home for the feast? We walked a little closer to get a better look as the wasp turned, and with big glowing red eyed stared at us with a threatening look. The hair on Wayne's neck stood on end as Eric motioned for everyone to run. Eric, I believe, was in the Army so he decided to take charge and lead the others to safety. BUT, a third man wanted a picture. As he pointed the camera at the "Killer wasp" he saw big green teeth and became confused as to the intentions of the insect from _______. Personally, I believe that the wasp was simply smiling for the camera. The wasp started to chase the visitors down the road and as the 3 men ran ,screaming in the night, waking up the entire community, the insect took flight overtaking one of the 3 men and biting him with it's big - green -- teeth!!! As the story goes, the other men grabbed the wasp trying to pull it off their friend. This action resulted in the tearing of a piece of flesh from the arm of the victim. Knocking the beast to the ground the 3 stepped and stomped on the insect until it stopped biting at their boots and was at "One" with the ground around it. Fewwwwwwww! The men walked to the dorms for the night to tell me this story in the morning. I examined the bitten man and as I searched for the flesh wound I was amazed at their story. They claim it is true but only you and the other team members must be the judge. Hope all is well Eric and Wayne.
Thanks to a family in New York City we were able to help many children enter school this year with note books and pen cols and pens. The system here is strange and requires many students to have as many as 10 notebooks . Each notebook would cost about 50 pesos. Many of the families, when they have work , earn 250 to 300 pesos a day. They need uniforms, special colored shoes, and other things or they can not enter the system. This gift of notebooks helped many families with children.
